The money was real.
The wallet is not.

Why this page exists: sellers embed real, rich addresses — often old mining-pool payouts whose public keys are on-chain — into manufactured wallet.dat files. The balance in the folder name was real (or still is), which makes the bait credible. But the files around it were built by a counterfeiting tool: their master key uses a layout Bitcoin Core never writes, so no password can ever unlock them. What you’d be buying is a souvenir of someone else’s money.

Before you pay for any wallet.dat:

• Run our in-browser verifier — the file never leaves your machine.
• Ask the seller for the file’s SHA-256 and look it up in our database (1,396 autopsies).
• If a “hint file” or a Telegram channel is bundled with the wallet, that’s the factory’s signature.
